We are so thankful for this school year with Rylan! There were quite a few changes that we didn't expect coming our way regarding school-- but God did, and He has provided for us so faithfully and abundantly through it all.
Rylan is in Pre-K this year, and in preparation for Kindergarten I am homeschooling her Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, then she goes to Cornerstone Community School on Thursday mornings. CCS was founded in 1993, and "represents a community of like-minded Christians who share a common conviction regarding the standards and methods of moral and academic training of our children." What a blessing!! They have grades K-8, and the preschool is set up as a teaching co-op. Rylan has two permanent teachers, and each week a new mom rotates. There are 8 kids in her class, so every 8 weeks I assist in the room.
School has been GREAT so far, both at home and at CCS. We are thankful to God for His provision, and are thankful for this school... helping Rylan and her classmates to "learn to follow God's ways from the inside out."

JENNY!!!!! Ahhh, no way!!! I love that you have a blog, but more importantly, that we are able to stay in touch more often- I have missed you! You are so sweet to write such an amazingly encouraging comment on our blog. You were in the best dream the other night & I have been meaning to write and tell you that ever since - and of course by now I can't even remember what the dream was about, but I just remember how random it was to see you in it - and yet how timely because I woke up so fired up about God and having just "seen" you in the dream - which was a total gift from God! Your family is so sweet and I just love looking at your pics and reading your updates. Oh hey, also really random, I just connected with Emily Mikkelson on facebook... she said you guys were Kappa sisters! (I felt so bad I didn't remember that, but I think she had graduated before I started at WSU?) Anyhow, she works for a company who's owned by people who go to our church - what a small world. My biggest hugs to you and your sweet family. Miss you dear Sister! :)
This school sounds incredible! We are praying & planning to homeschool our kiddos, but it can be so daunting! It is encouraging to hear you say that you are having such a successful time with that with Rylan for the first part of your week. I love the idea of a co-op Christian school like Cornerstone Community. It'd be awesome to either find something like that, or even just get a group of committed Christian homeschool parents who want to do a rotating school group that would be similar to how you guys rotate helping every 8 weeks or so. BTW, this is totally random, but have you ever heard of Gianna Jessen? Her testimony is absolutely incredible. I'll email you the link I heard the other night of her on Focus on the Family. WOW! I was driving when I heard her, and didn't even know what the program was about - but was so captivated by her voice and just the way she talked about God in her life, and the as soon as I realized what her story was, whoa, that just stirred my heart in a huge way. Let me see if I can find the link and I'll email you. It's worth the 20 or 30 minutes it takes to listen to the broadcast.
